![]() And power is what dictates your stagger potential for mobs, so going agility I wasn't ever really staggering enemies which made fighting groups of enemies total cancer and I started to just avoid them. Much of the more interesting weapons all scale off of power (str). I chose agility (dex) and alchemy (elemental scaling) as my character and I cant help but feel I shot myself in the foot doing that. The charm of fighting them outstays its welcome quickly. ![]() ![]() I reached a realization halfway through that fighting things was basically a waste of time. And after the first handful of enemies introduced, you will see them copy pasted for the rest of the game with only elemental varients to break it up.Īnd since all that drops from enemies are some of this games version of quicksilver bullets, and a paltry amount of souls or whatever they are called here. This is particularly troublesome since the side quests have you backtracking through these areas a lot. I don't normally have issues with navigation or getting lost in games but I was in a constant state of deja vu (haha french word) with every turn I took and shortcut unlocked, there are so many repeated assets it all just melts together in your mind. The first couple maps are ok, but once you get to the city levels everything starts to feel copy pasted. It craters itself with repetition though. This is at first a pretty authentic souls-like experience, it shares some similarities with Bloodborne both gameplay and a bit of aesthetics. This started out strong for me but went downhill fast midgame and never got better. Posted: 19 March Follow my curator page for more recommendations!
